Basingstoke has recently seen a lot of regeneration which has improved the town in so many ways. This is a town where old meets new, culturally there is an eclectic mix of museums, art galleries and theatres and a varied choice of restaurants. In the heart of the old town you’ll find the market square which is steeped in history. The more modern part of the town offers a two-storey shopping centre, Festival Place.  This plays host to a number of large high-street brands, restaurants and a 10-screen Vue cinema. There are a variety of well-known places to eat and grab a drink, such as Pizza Express, Ask Italian, Burger King, Café Nero, Costa, Cosy Club, Nando’s and Cote Brasserie.  You can also find more historic pubs and street food so there is something for all tastes.

For families and commuters, the transport links in the area are excellent with the A339 a short distance away. This takes you to junction 6 of the M3 by car in less than 10 minutes and links you to London in the east, and west to the South Coast. Basingstoke train station is 1.8 miles from Sherborne Fields and provides frequent and speedy services to London Waterloo in approximately 45 minutes.
