Our helpful team are here to answer any questions that you may have when it comes to selling your existing Shared Ownership home. To get you started, here is some useful information to read before you begin the process.
In a hurry? We can advertise your home for one week on our website and the Help to Buy agent’s website with an additional week to approve a buyer. If we find a buyer then great, that’s your home sold! But if we don’t you can then list your home with an estate agent, but you’ll only be able to sell 100% of your home and not just the share you own.
Alternatively, we’ll advertise your home for eight weeks. At the end of this period, we’ll let you know if we’ve found a buyer but if we haven’t, you’ll be able to sell your home via an estate agent either as a Shared Ownership home or 100% of the value.
Whether you sell via us or an estate agent you are responsible for paying the valuation fees, legal pack, selling fees and solicitors costs. Costs will vary, so we always advise that you speak to a few agents and solicitors and agree a price that suits your budget.
