Many of the major retail brands are here, but if you’re looking for a unique gift you can take a walk around the historic lanes and browse in Chichester’s independent boutiques. For groceries, all the major supermarkets are within easy reach including a Sainsbury’s and Waitrose, just a short drive from Chidham.
Chichester Harbour is one of the South’s most popular sailing destinations and is also a special place for rare wildlife thanks to its unique wetlands. West Wittering beach is approximately 15 miles away and so pretty that it is regularly used as a film and photo shoot location, while Pagham beach is also within easy reach and is worth a visit.
A new primary school and country park are included in the plans and there are several existing schools to choose from in this area too. Chidham Parochial Primary School, Bosham Primary School and Fishbourne CofE Primary Schools are all close by and rated ‘good’ in recent Ofsted inspections. Whilst for older children, Chichester High School and Chichester College are also within easy reach.
