Ludgershall is a small town that is placed just 16 miles to the north east of Salisbury. It is situated on the A342 between Devizes and Andover and is extremely well placed for commuting to Salisbury, Andover, Basingstoke, Newbury and Winchester. There is a strong military history and Windmill Hill has been part of the Salisbury Plain Training Area since 1898, and land in the west of the parish has been used by the Army since 1939. Military activity, including the construction of Tidworth Camp nearby has seen the town grow over recent years and become more attractive to young families.
The town itself remains quite small but has a host of useful amenities and services without having to go far away. There is a primary and secondary school in the town, as well as two doctors surgeries, a post office and a selection of shops. There are two historical and welcoming pubs, the Queens Head which dates back to the 16th century and The Crown Inn that dates back to the 17th century. This small town really is steeped in military history with beautiful old buildings as well as the newer homes on the outskirts as this town continues to grow.
Hourly buses connect you to the most local towns if you do need to go further afield. There are a host of local attractions such as Ludgershall Castle, the Hawk Conservancy Trust which is just a 10 minute drive away. This award-winning charitable organisation offers stunning flying hawk displays and talks about birds of prey as an ideal family day out. You’ll also find Thruxton Motor Centre close by, they offer driving experiences on the UK’s fastest racing circuit. You can choose your favourite vehicle from their huge fleet of supercars and sports cars.
For rail commuters, the nearest stations to Ludgershall are Grateley and Andover. By car, the A303 road connects you to Andover and the A338 south connects you to Salisbury

We know you’d love to view our new homes, but due to COVID19 we are only able to arrange viewings for those people who have applied for a home (completed the application form) and have passed the eligibility assessment, so we know we can progress the sale. We can also only arrange a viewing if we have the keys for a property so until we have taken handover, the builder still owns the property and access to the homes is limited for health and safety reasons. Thank you for your patience.
