"Hi, I’m Kate – my career in housing began over ten years ago when I joined VIVID as a Lettings Team Leader. Although I’d worked as a Sales Negotiator in a residential lettings agency for a couple of years before that, I had no real experience or understanding of housing associations and the difference they can make to people’s lives until I came to VIVID. My current role is quite unusual, we handle such a diverse range of activities. My team is involved in after sales, so our remit covers things like resales, staircasing, Right to Buy & Acquire transactions, lease extensions, plus ad hoc legal requirements such as deeds of release or rectification and restrictive covenants. There’s never a dull moment in our working days and that’s what I love about it!
And what about me personally? Well, most people will know about my passion for high heeled and spectacularly glittery shoes – in fact, I have my own shoe fairy who orders and delivers these wonderful things while I scratch my head and say ‘how did that happen, where did these appear from?’ As well as shoes, my loves include fast cars, long glittery nails and plenty of holidays!"
