Emsworth is a delightful coastal town on the Hampshire–West Sussex border, celebrated for its maritime heritage, picturesque harbour, and friendly community spirit. Getting here is simple. Emsworth sits just off the A27 and M27, giving quick access to Portsmouth, Southampton, and Chichester. From London and Petersfield, the A3(M) and B2149 route via Rowlands Castle offers a scenic approach. The A259 runs through the town, linking it to neighbouring villages.

Travel by train is easy too. Emsworth Station on North Street is on the West Coastway Line, with direct services to Portsmouth, Southampton, Chichester, Brighton, and London Victoria. Frequent trains mean you can reach Chichester in about 10 minutes and Portsmouth in just 15.

If you prefer the bus, the Stagecoach Coastliner 700 runs between Brighton and Southsea, stopping in Emsworth, while local routes connect to Havant, Southbourne, and Rowlands Castle. Stops are conveniently located near the station and town centre.

Community transport schemes, such as Ems Valley Community Transport and Emsworth Good Neighbours, provide helpful options for residents needing pre-booked journeys or assistance with medical appointments.

For those arriving by water, Emsworth’s small yacht basin is a haven for sailors, offering easy access from Hayling Island and beyond.
